These interactive resources aim to engage young people in raising their awareness of emergency situations. They have been developed in collaboration with curriculum development advisers and are suitable for Year 2 to Year 5 pupils.

A pilot project was held in Essex in June 2010 with 10 primary schools on Canvey Island where these materials were used to engage with pupils and aid their learning. The project was delivered through a range of fun activities spread across the whole taught curriculum. Essex County Council’s emergency planning service is grateful to all the schools on Canvey Island who participated in this pilot.
